I (heart) Wendy's

Today, we had a second town day with a purpose: I was going to find a wifi hot spot in this town (that actually works) if it killed me. Well, that, and Victor needed to exchange his new boots for some that hadn't lost their soles yet (there is a joke in there somewhere, but I'll spare you the search...), and we picked up 1,600# of concrete mix from Lowe's (more on that later...)

McDonald's was first. Yes, they had WiFi. If we wanted the esteemed privilege of using their WiFi connection, we could pony up $5--per hour or per day, the girl at the counter wasn't sure. Forget that, on to Fasoli's. Strike 1.

Fasoli's didn't register WiFi at all. Strike 2.

Wendy's was next on the list. And since you are reading this post, and to post I need an internet connection, I'm sure that you've already figured out that...

Wendy's Has Free WiFi!!!

They even have a plug-in at the corner table, so we get free electric with the free wifi. Thank You, Wendy's!!

As for the obnoxiously large amount of concrete in the back of the Durango; it's supposed to get warmer starting tomorrow (read: not freezing at night.) And my porch in missing a foot-wide strip running the length of the house, where the previous owner replaced the front sill beam (read: the infamous "repaired termite damage". Hah, hah, snort.) They replaced the beam, but kinda left the replacing of the concrete for the poor shmuck that bought the house (read: me). So starting tomorrow, Victor and I get to mix up 20-80# bags of Quikcrete. Happy, happy, joy, joy. Concrete work ranks somewhere south of mucking out goat stalls in my ranking o' chores.

Before it gets dark tonight, we're going to close in the barn for the winter, so I guess it is time to go back home...now that I've found a Wifi source. Looks like Wendy's on Tuesdays from now on. And maybe Sundays. And alternate Fridays, and...
